OOTD: The modern pin up girl

Boots: Vintage. Dress: New Look. Sleeveless jacket: Abercrombie & Fitch. Pearls: Primark. Belt: Came with a Zara dress.

Love the pin up girl look; the bold red lips and faux bang, so i took that concept and tried to modernise it into an easy wear summer bbq/outdoor party outfit. I’ve been to loads of outdoor parties and bbq’s and my biggest annoyance is the want to look nice but not too over done and heels sinking into GRASS! I swear that completely bugs me out! Thankfully wedges are in abundance in store at the moment so that is another option but i wanted a look that almost casual.

For the hair, firstly i would suggest you have a FRESH PERM before you attempt this look… as you can clearly see, my hair has some major regrowth!! .. but *shrugs* what the heck…. anyway; i put my hair into three sections and rolled the front forward and pinned it in place, for the sides i rolled and tucked inwards and continued rolling all the way to the end so roll is tight and then pinned ends back up. If you want me to do a video tutorial on the hair let me know and I’ll do one, it is so simple and takes like 10 minutes.

For my face i used.
