Roll with the Bunchies

Well hello there! It’s been a while…

I’ve been suffering from anxiety lately, becoming overly anxious about my creativity and forever second-guessing myself. I am pretty much my own worst enemy and that isn’t easy to come to terms with, it becomes a vicious circle of self-doubt, leaving one to sink into a cloud full of water that cannot rain.

I decided to stop telling myself what I can’t do, or thinking of a hundred reasons why something won’t work. Life is for living, exploring, learning and developing. We need to take risks in order to progress; if we don’t try we’ll never know the outcome and end up with a long list of ‘what ifs’.

I went natural a few years ago, since gaining enough length to pull my hair up, my go to style of choice has been a simple up-do. There are so many styles I want to try but I have been too scared, not because I don’t think it will suit me, but because I keep limiting myself with an ‘I’m too old for that’ or a ‘that’s too wild’. It’s really strange because I never used to be like this, I was once a person who liked to push the boundaries, in an essence, I was always the wild card.

Here I am, free from a self-suppressing shackle I put on myself. I’m not to old for anything I want to do. I can do what I want, wear what I want and be what I want. I wanted bunchies so, shit, I did me some bunchies and I bloody love them!

I parted my hair in to two, used hair bands to bunch each section, then added some X-Pressions (that I twisted in) to give my bunches a fuller and more interesting look.

I will definitely be exploring more natural hairstyles and getting creative with different looks. Let me know what you think.

Have a fabulous week sugars! x

Hon your bunches are biiiiiutiful, really, its like they were done professionally and same goes for your makeup! Ps Is that all your hair? How long have you been natural? I went natural about 3 years ago but had to restart many times as my hair kept fallign out- once because I put it in braids, second coz I blow dried it….so for the last year, I’ve let no heat touch my hair (apart from when I do a hot treatment) and I havn’t done braids in a whiiiiile.
Now back to you, from just this post I can see you have a lot of creativity in you so don’t limit yourself. We live in a world of internet thots were anyone gets infamous for doing nothing so the fact that you have a story to tell and can inspire naturalista’s with hair, makeup etc- means you should make like Nike and #JustDoIt !
Thanks for stopping by my blog recently, hope to see you again soon ( :

    • Thank you so much, trying not to limit myself or follow fashion haha! Bring on the rollercoaster that is my REAL life.

I went natural about 3 years ago… I literally got upset one day, put scissors to my hair and started cutting… wild I know… No its not all my hair, as I mentioned in the post, I added Xpressions(Braiding hair). I’ll do a post to show where I am at with my own hair, there are pics on my Facebook though without any additional hair/weave.

Look forward to building a bloggership with you (“,)
